Before forty, he established the Wellmann Group—building it from modest roots into a formidable industrial force in maritime shipping, energy logistics, and marine engineering across the Niger Delta waters.
He moves without fanfare and reasons from audited balance sheets. His record in the private sector is unblemished: thirty years without default, zero questionable contracts, zero public debt, and an absolute commitment that public office must never be an instrument for personal enrichment.

Early Life
Vanguard reports that Chris Iyovwaye was born on 24 February 1964, with family roots in Aghalokpe in Okpe Local Government Area and Ekpan in Uvwie.
Education
Urhobo College → University of Benin
His documented educational background includes Urhobo College, Effurun, followed by the University of Benin, where he studied International Studies and Diplomacy.
Early Career
Healthcare, Quality Control & Library Work
His early professional experience included working as an auxiliary nurse at Avenue Specialist Hospital and later as a Quality Control Inspector at Delta Glass Company in Ughelli.

London
From 1991 to 1994, he worked as a librarian at Dulwich Library under Southwark Council in London.
